About this itinerary
This short but action packed tour is designed to easily add on to an East Africa safari in Kenya or Tanzania. In just three nights you'll cruise Lake Victoria (once considered to be the source of the Nile), take a scenic flight across the country, engage with a local rural community, and or course, trek through pristine rainforest to see the gentle giants that make Uganda such an aspirational travel destination; the majestic Mountain Gorilla.
day 1 Entebbe
On arrival, head straight for your Lake Victoria Serena, perched on the edge of the beautiful Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest and perhaps most important. The lake feeds the River Nile, bringing life to otherwise arid and desolate lands as it meanders north towards the Egyptian coast.
In the evening enjoy a sunset cruise on the lake. With a glass of wine and some freshly prepared snacks enjoy the cool afternoon breeze on deck, and take in the sights of local fishermen casting their nets while the sun dips over the horizon.

day 2-4 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Expect to walk anywhere between 2 and 6 hours in steep and sometimes muddy conditions, which can be tough and require a degree of (average) fitness. However, the thrill of coming face to face with a giant Mountain Gorilla silverback completely makes up for the effort! Observing these magnificent creatures as they move around to feed or play is truly an awe inspiring experience.
On your departure day, the tour concludes with a final scenic flight back to Entebbe. Consider adding an extra night in Bwindi and include a trek to a beautiful waterfall and meet the Batwa, the indigenous people who have lived alongside the Gorillas in the forest for thousands of years.
