About this itinerary
Our hand-picked family favourites are brought together to create an exciting, dynamic family itinerary. You'll visit an elephant orphanage and rehabilitation centre, stroll through woodland populated by giraffes and zebra, embark on river safari's and game drives in Lower Zambezi National Park and get up close to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls, where you'll also be able to head out for some rhino tracking and visit a local community.
Even with such an action packed itinerary, they'll be plenty of time to relax. Chill by the pool, with one eye looking out for giraffes and elephants heading down to the river for a drink, savour delicious bush cuisine surrounded by nothing but open savannah, and enjoy amazing sunsets together with a G&T (or lemonade).
day 1-2 Lusaka
During your stay, you will also visit the nearby Lusaka Elephant Nursery, where injured and orphaned elephants are cared for until they are ready to return to the wild. You will learn more about these magnificent animals before attending the viewing deck for their lunchtime feed.
The lodge has a lovely pool and restaurant with viewing deck, to keep the whole family entertained during your down time.

day 3-5 Lower Zambezi National Park
An exciting scenic flight will whisk you to Lower Zambezi National Park. A mix of floodplains, winterthorn glades and narrow channels branching out from the mighty Zambezi make Lower Zambezi National Park undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Africa.
Your stay at Chongwe camp includes:
Game drives, walking safaris, river safaris, canoeing*, family oriented safaris, and game fishing.
A good book or loaded tablet is advised for your down time by the pool, but keep the camera close, animal sightings from the pool and viewing decks are common at both lodges.
